Audition Information
Auditions for new members take place before our season’s first rehearsal. Reserve your spot today!
Location: First United Methodist Church, 1376 Olive St, Eugene, OR 97401
What to prepare:
- A short solo piece (1-2 minutes) of your choice
- Choose any style: pop, folk, classical – whatever shows your voice best!
During your audition, our Artistic Director Evan Miles will guide you through some simple sight-reading exercises and vocal warm-ups. The audition is designed to be comfortable and supportive – we want to get to know your voice in a positive environment.
Rehearsal Schedule
- Regular rehearsals: Thursday evenings, 6:30-9:30pm
- Attendance requirement: 70% minimum to perform
- Community building: One Saturday retreat (9am-5pm) per season
- Additional sessions: Technical rehearsals before performances
Don’t let the schedule discourage you! We offer flexibility through optional sectionals that count toward attendance. Our Artistic Director can also work with individual circumstances – we’re committed to accommodating your needs whenever possible.
Many members arrive early or stay during breaks to socialize and build friendships – the community aspect is just as important as the music!
