We Sing for Love
From our first notes, EGMC has been about creating community through music. Our performances spread messages of inclusion and acceptance while building meaningful connections between our members and with our audiences.
The strength of our chorus is our community – the deeper you participate, the stronger those bonds become.
Our Growing Family
What began in a living room with a handful of passionate singers has blossomed into a chorus of 50 members plus musicians and volunteers. Today's EGMC reflects the diversity and strength of our LGBTQ+ community.
We celebrate our collective joys, acknowledge our struggles, and use the power of music to ensure we never return to the shadows. Through every performance, we invite others to join their voices with ours in celebration of our authentic lives.
"You don't have to live in Eugene, you don't have to be gay, and you don't have to be a man - you just have to be able to sing in the Tenor-Bass range."
— Evan Miles - EGMC Artistic Director

All Voices Welcome
Our chorus embraces people of all backgrounds and life experiences. Whether you identify as gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, agender, ace, questioning, or ally – if you can sing in the tenor, baritone, or bass range, you belong here.
Our Legacy of Pride
Gay men's choruses emerged in the early 1980s during the HIV/AIDS crisis as spaces of belonging when many lost families, friends, and loved ones. These choruses performed at funerals, celebrations, and Pride events – declaring through song that we are here, queer, and proud.
From those beginnings, choruses like ours have grown to embrace the full spectrum of our diverse community.
